The Leading 3 Ways To Eat More Greens

I’ll admit, I often have difficulty (or in some cases even do not have the desire) to eat my greens. I know I need to consume more greens however I just do not do it.

One of the central components of any healthy diet is eating an enough quantity of greens. Yet 95% of people who follow a health diet, do not consume enough green leafy veggies.

And then I discovered a fun way to get more greens into my diet plan. Here are my Top-3 Ways to get more greens into your diet.

1. Make Green Smoothies

Green smoothies are terrific and my favorite way to consume a large quantity of greens! When I initially became aware of green shakes I was a little hesitant about blending fruit and greens and was surprised by the outcome.

Here are some dishes from my ebook Smoothies for Optimal Health.

Berry Roman Smoothie

1 cup strawberries
2 whole bananas
1/2 bunch romain
1/2 to 1 cup water

Blend fruit and water. Add romaine lettuce. Enjoy.

Being Green Smoothie

2 cups fresh spinach
1 whole grated cucumber or carrot
2 entire bananas
1 entire orange
3 entire apples, juiced

In a blender, whirl together all ingredients until smooth and thick.

2. Make Blended Salads

When you’ve gotten utilized to the taste of greens in your shakes, you can graduate to making blended salads. You can shift gradually by minimizing the amount of fruit in your healthy smoothie and increasing the amount of greens. Gaspacho is a type of blended salad. Here is one of my favorite recipes (though I will confess took me a while to get used to the taste and texture of combined salads).

Combined Salad

2 medium tomatoes, approximately sliced
2 ribs of celery
4 leaves lettuce (big).
1 huge handful spinach.
1 green onion.
1/2 avocado.
1/4 cup parsley.
2 Tbs. dulse flakes.
1 Tbs. nori flakes (optional).
Water if required.

Blend the tomatoes together, and include the rest of the components gradually. If you need to, usage water only. A combined salad needs to be quite thick.

3. Discover One Good Healthy Salad Dressing.

Here’s a dish to get you started.
